October 2010 - ROOSEVELT CLASS OF '66 - do you want a 45 yr. reunion?
Please vote yes or no as soon as possible. I need to know if there is enough interest. Most hotels require a deposit a year in advance, so we need to get started soon if we're going to have one.

September 2010 UPDATE
I finally got the promotion I've been waiting on...a few years, and I am now the Quality Assurance Analyst for the court. I've been there 24 years and anticipate a few more.
Became Facebook friends a few months ago with Bobby Petty, RHS '65, and we have talked over 150 hours so far catching up with our lives. We've taken one motorcycle trip to Helen, GA and are meeting in Panama City, FL soon to do a bike event there. Bobby is an adventure seeker, and my lifestyle is changing since I've become his traveling companion (and more). I told him YES, I am definitely ready to get off the sofa and out of the house! Take me everywhere you go! Having fun and feeling young at heart :-)
December 2009 UPDATE
I had a great time visiting my son in Simi Valley near L.A. for Thanksgiving week, and a few days after that trip I went to New York City with two co-workers. I loved New York and hope to go back someday to see it in spring or summer. I didn't get to Central Park this time!

A long time ago and far away...I was the RHS forum moderator at Classmates.com and created another free, private RHS alumni forum at Delphi Forums (search there for RHS Crimson Tide Alumni to find us) which is currently hosted by Ford Chance '59.
Since 1986, I have been employed as a Deputy Clerk with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Atlanta. I work in Quality Assurance and Training. I am divorced; 2 children by first husband, Joe Williams, RHS 1965 - Angie Williams, 40, Morrow Sr. High 1987, and Ryan Williams, 38, Morrow Sr. High 1989, and 3 grandchildren. I share a condo in Duluth with my 2 cats - Sasha and Clancy.
Volunteer work: American Red Cross, Furkids. I am also a patient volunteer for the Cochlear Corp. and have a blog at their site, assistant webmaster for the GA Peach Cochlear Implant Assoc., and I write the newsletter for my homeowners' assoc.
Favorite things to do: listen to oldies on my iPod, workout, computer desktop publishing, meeting old friends for lunch, and I'm an e-mail junkie. Updating my database skills to assist with a non-profit organization. Send me a note at sheilameador and the at sign and then y a h o o plus dot and then com.
I gradually became deaf and had a cochlear implant in 1995 to give me artificially-stimulated hearing in one ear. UPDATE: Feb. 13, 2008 I had another cochlear implant. This one was on the left ear. Now living in stereo! It is wonderful to be able to hear my children's voices on the phone and rock 'n roll music again after living without it for 25 years! The birds sing outside my window every morning just for me!
Being a mother and a grandmother has been the most rewarding experience in my adult life. I am so proud of my children and love playing with my grandchildren. God continues to bless me everyday!
School Memories:
My biggest crush was Mike Dean '66. The teacher who inspired me the most was Jo Ann Slay (shorthand). High school was so much fun, and I loved being a cheerleader. If I had it all to do over again, I probably wouldn't change a single triumph or heartache! Those were the days, my friend :-)
