Sheila's Story
Life
After graduation, I went to Santa Monica City College. Following that, I began working at UCLA--the Library, Biology, History, Neurology, School of Nursing, Dermatology. Was there for 30 years, then took early retirement. (I was married for 21 years, no children. I have wonderful nephews and nieces.) Did some volunteering, then worked 5 years part-time at a non-profit foundation. Over the years I have taken classes. In 2004 I had a stroke and have been recovering and retraining.
I enjoy reading, some needle craft, working out at the Y. So now, I sing in my temple choir, have many wonderful friends. Would like to hear from you. Y...Expand for more

Update Oct 2010: Just moved from my house to a mobile home park. How stuff accumulates over the years!
Next update July 2021. In August 2018, moved from mobile home to senior assisted living facility. Still here. Have made some wonderful friends. (After 19 years at the Y, I had to give up that membership.) We've come through the Covid-19 pandemic, experiencing lockdowns like everyone else. We were grateful to be high on the priority list to be vaccinated. How wonderful to have some freedoms again and reconnect with family and friends! Still hope to hear from people; the address is the same.
