Sheila's Story

Life I am the married mom of 2 children and 3 children by marriage. Our daughter is age 23 and a very accomplished and talented singer. She sings for various area cities functions as well as at Loretta Lynn's ranch every summer. Our son is 19 and his passion is Football. He was in karate for 2 and a half years and earned the coveted black belt. I just recently went back to college. Being a single parent at graduation, Jessica's well-being and caring for her was my priority back in 1989. I am taking classes at EMU to obtain my teaching degree. Fries and Mrs. Heiss. They gave me faith in myself to pursue my poetry dreams. If I could change anything about my teen years it would be to wait to become pregnant. I love my daughter to the end of the earth but being a single mom at that young of an age is a hard road to go down and I hurt for other teen girls when I see them in the same situation. John Gauvreau,Susan Wenderski,Ted Birkeland, Richie Labo, and the few others from the "old neighborhood" helped build some great childhood memories both very early and during my high school years , that I will forever cherish.
