Sheldon's Story
I just joined this, you know, "paid" so I can see your messages! Updating! Hey, I can't get let in the Facebook, "Class of 1965" site, maybe a good sign? Going to the 50th reunion? high School was't my favorite place, not bad, but just kind of a non-event, life got big fun after. The longest I've held a job was a week and I quit, in about 1969, so I don't get Social Security. The idea, at 20, or commuting an hour to work and an hour home, being in an office 8 hours, just seemed wrong to me? I started "investing", doing projects, implementing my ideas and did beyond well.......passed the 1% mark at 40. I have gone to Burningman for the last 10 years, I blend there, go to music festivals, travel a lot, taken my boat to Alaska 4 times, 4 months each, four trips to Cuba recently, planning Vietnam next year. I've gone by, "if it's fun, let's". Still ride a motorcycle. I'm on Facebook. In the arts big time, create things, working with lasers now. Helped raise 3 kids. Have not seen anyone from high school since graduating, except my biggest bully last month, he contacted me, not sure why? Otherwise, no reason why not, just haven't, maybe because I live in Marin and it wasn't my high point it life, as it's all been beyond good. Built a museum in Marin Country, There is a regular non-Facebook as the Collector's Museum in San Rafael
From the museum site... Wow, personal stuff, interests, collections
Collect Stuff! I'm looking for,16mm movies, old televisions, unusual happy face items (have all the basi...Expand for more
c stuff), Garbage Pail Kids "clothing" and the "unusual" ( even have a small collection of antique children's coffins in my house, great place for Halloween parties)! Addicted to flea markets and collectives. Collect cars too, latest is a black Lamborghini Countach, biggest is a 1913 Fiat built for Robert Goddard the rocket scientist (he could not have been blond and be a rocket scientist, genetically impossible), oldest is a 1906 Orient. Restore motorcycles, including Indian 4s, Harleys, a hacked (slang for sidecar) 1927 Harley JD. Then there is boating, back from Alaska and now plan to travel to excellent places like Santa Cruz, Marina del Ray (Venice is there, where I visually blend..) on a 78' Stephens Yachtfisher. Just finished restoring a 1927 Chris Craft triple cockpit Cadet. See all the key words here that will pop up on a search! Look unusual too, so if you see this guy with blond braided hair about a foot long with beads in it, a goatee, shorts, ankle tat of waves and a shark fin, say "hi" and say you're from the WEB! I live in the woods in Marin, on three acres, but not in a cabin and I've never met the Unibomber! A normal person trapped in an unusual style...
Also have a house, well converted 2 story muffler shop (industrial look, with a car lift in the livingroom) in Los Angeles at Fairfax and Santa Monica Blvd. (it's about urban decay plus the best flea markets!!!). Also a place on a rock, in the ocean in Brookings, Oregon (it's about beauty).
Real guys have purple rollerblades.....
