Shelia's Story

Life I am single with nine children, Theamma 20, Marvin 18, Melvin 18, Derek 17, Ashley 15, Mitchell 12, Marshall 8, Myles 8, and Major 7. I have lived in Columbus OH for 22 years. Although I do visit my Mother in Montgomery several times a year. I attended Columbus State and recieve my AAS in Accounting. I am now working on finishing my BA in Accounting at Franklin University. If I had one do over, I would not have married my ex-husband. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Cynthia Barron, because She earned my respect.. I learned from my kids, that my mother was and is a strong woman. I share my home with eight children and one dog, which I find there is no privacy. My biggest victory so far was graduating from college. It took me 21 years to go back. All nine of my children were there to watch this event. I owe my starting and completion to them. y could see that no matter how old or how long it takes, you can do it if you have it in you. My mom is the center of all my childhood memories. She made it possible for me to be where and who I am today. So for that I say THANK YOU Dorothy Mitchell-Fairfax. I hope my friends and classmates remember me as a changed person. I am living through my children the way I was in school. Thank God there is room for change. The wildest thing I ever did in school was: I skipped the last two periods to go drink some madd dogg 20/20 with Karen and Deneen. I was sick as a dog. My inspiration comes from God, and yes he is my hero. He had to go low to get me, but I thank him for being a God that can meet you at your lowest and shape and prepare you for your highest. I think that's enough questions for me. I look forward to reading about my classmates also. I must admit that I don't remember some of the people I went to school with, so don't hold that against me.
