Shelley's Story
Life
In high school I went by the name Shelley, but I now go by Rochelle. I went to Huntington Beach high School and graduated in 1986. In high school I was always into fashion, music, art, photography, dance clubs, etc. And not much has changed still. I was a platinum blonde little mod chick throughout most of high school, but I was also definately into new wave, goth and punk rock as well. I lived in Seal Beach during my high school years, and I have one younger sister named Renee, who also went to Huntington High.
After high shcool I went on to go to Long Beach State where I Majoured in Art and Minored in Photography. Since then, I moved to Hollywood and worked at a number of different design related companies and shot for a number of magazines, a well as had a few gallery shows myself. I currently live in Silverlake and work for and advdertising Company working on Independent film ads, and I also am the lead singer of what started as an all girl ...Expand for more
Punk band, but now includes male band members as well. Go figure, after seeing so many shows and dating a number of musicians, I didn't get around to starting my own band until I hit my 30's.
I am currently still single by choice, and have no children. I love to tavel and have been to Europe about 3 times and all over the united states. While most people my age already have or are currently settling down, I have decided that I enjoy my independence, freedom and adventure and have not been impressed with the direction many marriages go or the input of both partners with children, so have decided it's not for me. I have a very large group of friends, some of whom I have known for over 20 years, and very close relationships when I choose to do so, so I am perfectly content with that.
