Shelley's Story
My name is Shelley, I did not graduate in 1967, however Diane Washington was my room mate and a young lady name Tonya, both were from Chicago. I know that after that year Diane graduated and went on to be model. Don't know what became of Tonya. Beverly graduated also went on to be a teacher. I was two years under them, and did not return back to Laurinburg. I graduated from Spinguarn High in Washington DC class of 1969. Diane dated a guy name DT from DC and I dated a guy name Pinky, both went to Laurinburg and I think they graduated the same year 1967 as well. me she was suppose to be very sick. I am originally from New York, I have a sister name Scarlett who also attened Lauringburg but did not stay the complete year. I use to have some pictures of some classmates can't put my hands on them at this moment. I did have a copy of the year book for class of 1967 however someone borrowed it to look at and never returned it back to me. Anyway all is well, I have three children and three grandchildren the yongest is 8 months old the oldest oldest 17 years old. Everyone is very successful and doing well. My husband is a pastor, and I am a preacher. I use to attend Full Gospel AME Zion Church in Temple Hills, Beverly Battle use to go there as well, have not seen her since I left.
