Shelli's Story

Life Well, I quit working for Colton School District after 16 miserable years. I relocated to Henderson, NV and entered a new career field, that I love! I remarried in November 2004 and find love is definitely better the second time around!! We increased our family three times- now we have two beautiful daughters and three adorable sons. Unfortunately our son Daniel was stillborn in September 2005, but Matt arrived in June 2006 and Josh in January 2008. I visited and fell in love with Manhatten and wish I could move there tomorrow. I love NYC and the fast pace. Jason wants to take us home to Pittsburgh and Springfield, MO for visits. We talk about building a vacation home in Flagstaff, AZ or having a place in Carmel, which is my favorite place on earth. We are looking forward to traveling the world and seeing all 50 states. ing having a new dad (who adopted them) and love having two brother to help take care of. Workplace As of December 2004, I am the Executive Assistant to the Chief Health Officer of the Southern Nevada Health District in Las Vegas, NV. How I enjoyed tendering my resignation to CJUSD. I love working in public health care and working for the most fabulous doctor ever. It's a much different field, and I learn more and more each day. Let me tell you, what happens in Vegas does NOT stay in Vegas. There's a lot of diseases out there, baby!! Unofficially for 16 years I was known as the Substitute Services Coordinator, and I always wished my check reflected the title! My job was ever changing. It was great meeting new people and catching up with old acquaintances. You never know who's going to walk in the door and want to be a Guest (Substitute) Teacher.
