Shelly's Story
Life
I am a Manager at Promedica Physicians Corp. I was promoted in August of 2005. I also have been traveling to Nascar events and concerts with Sheri Vegas from 104 and loving every minute of it. Went to Charlotte in October, 2005 to meet my fav driver, Martin Truex Jr and have dinner with him at DEI. I have been posting the pics at photobucket.com and you can find me on there by "bandgrl."
I am back in college online to obtain my Bachelors degree in Business. I have three daughters,Ashley, 20, Kayla, 16 and Marisa, 10. Ashley is attending Owens until next year and then plans to transfer to BGSU. Kayla and Marisa both attend Eastwood. Marisa is active in basketball. I am part of MADD and speak at driving schools and high schools, recently Eastwood. My daughter and I were on the Oprah Winfrey show in April 1999 and then featured two years ago in the Toledo Blade for the same subject. I was chosen Mrs. Wood County in 2002. I love Nascar (Dale Jr), concerts (I am part of T-townmusic.com and review national acts), sports, and being with friends. I have changed since high school, people would be surprised.
With owning a house so close to Eastwood, I was worried I would not like being back in a small town and I was right! I plan to move to warmer climates soon. I hate cold and snow!! Although I am very busy not just with my job but with my writing and reviews of bands. I was just asked to submit an application to the Hollywood Reporter in California. This would grant me access to interview and review Hollywood stars. I am not sure this route is where I want to go because The Rolling Stone has been my goal for a long time now. I have had great opportunities this past year in meeting and hanging with bands such as Papa Roach, Jackyl and Gavin DeGraw. You can read my re...Expand for more

School
My biggest crush in high school was Wes Davis. Funny now looking back because he ended up being best friends with Lee, Marisa's dad. I used to skip majorette practice to go watch the boys at soccer. He had nice legs!!
The teacher who inspired me most was Mrs Mary Daman. I was lucky enough that my oldest daughter Ashley was the last class at Luckey School that she taught before retiring. She was a wonderful inspiration for me and my writing. I think she would be very proud to see where I have landed with this. And I thank her for exposing my children to the wonderful novel, 'James and the Giant Peach.'
If I could go back and do high school all over again would I? You know I have thought about this concept for years and had you asked me this awhile back I may have said yes. Now my answer is no. God has put me through my life experiences for a reason. I am here and I am what I am. Had I not gone through these changes, I may not be what I am today. I am not sure I would be willing to take that chance. If there was a way I could bring my very best friend back from heaven, Chris Rollo, I certainly would try. My heart aches for him everyday and I pray that one day we will be together. I just hope what I do on daily basis makes him proud.
College
After graduating Eastwood, I got married and divorced within 9 years. Although I did get two great kids from that! I tried attending BGSU for nursing and only was able to go one year. I managed to carry a 4.0 until I was going through my divorce. Then I attended St Leo in Florida, University of Phoenix to finish my Bachelors in Business and Journalism. I have 9 more months to go!!!!
then on with my journalism career. Who knows I could be the next editor of Rolling Stone!!
