Shelly Rawlins:  

Life I went off to Ricks College in 1986. That Fall I met Ken Rawlins. We married in Los Angeles Summer of 1987. I graduated with a degree in Preschool Education 1988. We moved to Southern CA, where Ken is from. Paul was born in 1989. I worked for 3yrs while Ken finished his first degree. I was so glad to stay home and be with Paul before he started Elementary school. I served in various positions in the PTA during Paul's early years in Elementary school. In the process of trying for our second child, my health was poor, so I had to bow out of many things I loved doing. In the spring of 1999, Sean joined our family and our lives changed forever. Sean was born with VACTERL Association. It is massive amounts of birth defects that can either be mild or severe. We are in the middle of both, depending how one views it. We live at our local Childrens Hospital and we are not joking. In the Fall of 2000, Daniel joined our family 6wks early due to the death of his identical twin brother before birth. Samuel had died of VACTERL Association since his was beyond severe. We briefly moved to Spokane, WA in hopes of being closer to family and attending school. After things not going right, we moved back to So. Cal. We decided to try one more time for a girl to add to the boys. We found out in April 2002 we were having another boy, who was healthy-yes!
