Shelly's Story
I left high school after the 10th grade year. I spent the next 7 years working in the service industry (waitress/bartender), traveling, moving (lived in 3 states), was engaged but not married, and earned my GED. In the summer of 1993 I moved to the Orlando, FL, area where I have lived ever since.
While continuing to work in the service industry, I began college and graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1998 with an education degree and was a special education teacher for 9 years. I was married in 2001 and my son was born in April, 2007. I have been a stay-at-home-mom since his birth and would like to have another child in the next year or two. being a mom, it is my calling.
BB (before baby) my husband and I loved to travel and SCUBA dive. We have been to Costa Rica, Bonaire, Hawaii, the Keys, and have dove extensively off the southeastern FL coast. We will resume our diving hobby someday.
I know I did not graduate with you all and I'm not even sure why I posted on this site. Perhaps it's the knowledge that we are just getting older and connecting with people that knew you when you were young makes that transition a little easier. Maybe someone will remember me from middle school, from girl scouts, from band, who knows? I was very shy and quiet in school but some of your names sounded familiar so maybe mine will, too.
