Shelly's Story
I've never felt more like I belonged someplace than I do right here in San Antonio. And, I know that just by my saying that, something is going to happen to make it different. It's been my experience that as soon as you're comfortable, God goes and switches things up on you. Just to keep you on your toes, I guess. I remember always feeling like I was the black sheep of the family. I didn't fit in. I didn't fit in at Fontana High School either. My friends were really my cousin's friends. I wouldn't have hung out with them otherwise. And those that I did try to make on my own, I didn't really fit in there either. Then there was Grand Junction Central High School. ot have chosen to live in Colorado. Okay, maybe in the summer. But the winter? I've always said that if I never saw snow again, it would be too soon. My idea of heaven does not include snow..anywhere. No, my idea of heaven is alot like Hawaii. Where the air is soft and the rain falls like angel kisses. Those who've been there know what I mean. I guess what I've found here in south Texas is a common spirit. I'm a conservative, very down to earth, and a Christian. I'm pro-life, and believe the institution of marriage was ordained by God to be between a man and a woman. I believe we are entitled to own guns and to use them if someone is on your property to harm or steal from you. Very Texan, very me.
