Sheree's Story
Life
Life is good living in Huntington Beach. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and love what I do. I have been married for almost 2 years to a guy name Lance. We have no kids, but I guess those come in time. We also have a beagle name Miller. I still love to play sports and go to the beach whenever I get some free time. Still hoping house prices will come down some so we can own a home, but those housing Gods are really against me right now.
College
I went to Chapman University and got my BA in Psychology and then went to Pepperdine University and got my Masters in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I was then off to get my PsyD, but my grandfather got cancer and I stayed home to be with my family. I have no regrets for not going because I probably would have burned out before the program ended. Workplace
So many jobs over the years................ Let's see,
I worked at Big 5 Sporting Goods for 4 years during college and then moved onto Super K-Mart. You can laugh, but I was making $10 an hour and that was 10 years ago !!!! It was also a grocery store and you had to memorize all the produce codes and that got me big bucks. :) I was then off to work with families and children of divorce and worked in divorce mediation. I then worked at a group home with boys ages 14-17 who were on probation and they were also drug addicts and gang bangers who were court appointed to attend our program. These guys were scary and most of them will end up in our prison system. I then went to a treatment center for boys ages 7-17 and helped them deal with depression, suicide and homicide and tried to get them into foster homes so they can live in the real world. Those kids were crazier than the sociopaths I previoulsy worked with. That about sums it up.
