Sheri's Story
Hi. I'm now more than a half of a century old and have lived in the country of Mexico as a missionary with my husband, David, for the past 17 years. We got married soon after my high school graduation. We had three little girls, Amy, Renae and Mari. The youngest one just graduated from Cincinnati Christian University and plans to continue to study physchology in her masters program. Our oldest, Amy has three children, which makes me GRANDMA! Our middle daughter, Renae, lives in Phoenix, AZ, and works for Proctor and Gamble, Inc. in the pet care business, Eukanuba pet care. We moved as a family to Cincinnati in 1987 and left from the United States to live in Mexico as missionaries in 1991. We have been...Expand for more
here ever since. We have a children's home here called Casa de Niños. Right now we have 14 children. They all range in ages from 8 - 24. So many of the things that I chose that I do in the Questions and Answers in fact I do as the director of Casa de Niños. When working with children, you have to become many things to many people. We enjoy what we do, but do miss being in the U.S. at times. I (Sheri) usually visit at least twice a year and my husband goes at least once a year. We never get to go together because someone has to stay with the kids! Our whole family is bilingual, which is a great benefit these days with the hispanic community growing quickly in the U.S.
