Sheri's Story

Life Life was hard in High School as I was torn between two schools - Southfield High where I spent three years and Farmington High where, up to that point, I had spent a lifetime. Jo, Karla & Paula -- it was great to see y'all at the SHS reunion!! Thanks for making SHS important to me. Twenty years have gone by in the blink of an eye, yet life has not stood still. In my early twenties I married my high school sweetheart (Ferndale High). I also divorced my HS sweetheart in my early twenties - I still consider him a good friend. After high school, I worked several years for a Southfield-based commercial real-estate firm. In my 29th year, I re-thought my life's plan, bought a house and promptly quit my job. ted working at temp agencies and going to school full-time. I began working at Ford in 1994 and I graduated Eastern in 1995 with a B.A. in Organizational Communications. I still work at Ford, although I left for a year to join a consulting firm (hated it). I love my job which is leading a team in the development of HR self-service web-enabled applications. I met my husband on a blind date in 1994 (he was not the guy I was set up to meet) -- we were married in 1997. We live in Canton and are raising his three children from his previous marriage. We travel whenever & wherever we can and are kept busy running the kids to all of their activities. I'm looking forward to beginning a Masters program at Walsh in the fall.
