Sheri's Story

Life I just recently finished a ten-year stretch of service on the Boyd County Board of Education and find a little extra time on my hands... I was married in 1982 to Alden (Snook to everyone) Bryan and moved to Catlettsburg, KY. We built our current home in 1987 and have lived here ever since! We are preparing to celebrate our 25th anniversary in August. Both of my beautiful daughters have graduated from high school now and are attending college. Lindsay, age 21, is a Sports Management major and Melanie, age 19, is an education major at Morehead State University here in Kentucky. Lindsay was a member of the national championship all-girl cheerleading squad at MSU and Melanie was selected as a "Teacher of Tomorrow". We're obviously very proud of both of them. y 13 years old. My mother moved in with us about eight years ago. I worked in the financial services industry for over twenty years and became self-employed about 9 years ago. First, only part time, but full time since 2002. I am the Director of a Scholarship Program for young girls ages 7-12 and produce programs regionally in the states of Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania. My husband has been employed in commercial construction for the last 30 years. (Wow! If that doesn't make you feel old, I don't know what will!) I have been unable to attend any reunions since 1988 due to family, business or professional commitments but I'm hoping to catch up at the next one! I did get to attend my first A Capella Choir Christmas Concert in 28 years last December. I took my girls with me and I think they loved it as much as I did!
