Sherie's Story
Life
Since graduation I went on to college but I ended up dropping out and working full time. I fell in love with a guy right after leaving college. We had a son together Bryan DeQuan. We were together for 6 years. I worked for founders furniture that whole time. Since being laid off I have been visiting New York alot to see my family. I am now married with a new baby girl and a gorgeous husband and loving every minute of it.
School
I had 2 teachers who really touched me. The first was a good friend and cool person that would be Miss Tracy Smith. She was the spanish teacher and a reall headstrong person. I learned alot of spanish even though i acted crazy in her class. The other teacher is Mrs. Allie Yarborough my 12th grade CP English teacher. She made English fun for me to learn. Thanks to her persistence i have written a novel, poetry collection, 3 short stories, working on another novel and another short story. (none of which are published). College
When I first went to Liberty I met my student buddy her name was Suzanne Siwert she was from Hershey, PA. We grew close together. We still communicate over the phone and emails. She moved back to Pa for graduate school. I dropped out after my freshaman year because i was pregnant and going to Jerry Falwell' school and being pregnant was a no-no. I had planned to come back after i had my son but things fell through and i never did. Susie tried to get me back but i was hesitant and never came back. I waited years later adn decided to go back and get my degree and I did just that a single mother and pregnant and working full time 50 hours a week got her DEGREE. And it feels great.
Workplace
I worked as a cashier when i dropped out of college until Thomasville (now Founders Furniture) fell through. I worked there until I decided to go back to college and try another field. I am now currently employeed, and loving my job.
