Sherilyn Keller:

CLASS OF 1966
Simi valley, CA

Sherilyn's Story

Life I was better known as "Sherry" Merritt in school. After graduation I moved to No Cal and eventually married at 20. Had a son. Divorced for 10 years during which time I sold Real Estate in No Cal & So Cal. Got married again in 1980. Moved to Alaska, got my Real Estate license there & had my own office until 1986. During my stay there, I had 3 more children and I had them at home, my husband delivered them! We moved to Louisiana where he went to Bible College. Had another baby at home. Moved back to Ca for a few months, then to Oklahoma in 1989 where I had another baby! If you lost count , that makes 6! I wanted to move back to Ca, and when I did with 5 little kids, my marriage ended. Too bad! I then returned to OK and once again have my Real Estate License, I substitute teach for the Yukon School Dist, and I am a full time employee for WILLIAMS-SONOMA here at the care center in OKC. My 36 year old son, Mark, lives in Penryn,CA and has 4 children and is the head of Wells Fargo Mortgage Corp in Roseville. My son Dylan, returned from a 15 mo tour in Iraq with the US ARMY. He is now stationed at Fort Sill, OK. He got married in Sept of 2005. We just found out that a baby is on the way!! Due in Sept 2006! My daughter Chelsea is 22 & attends college in Rocklin, CA at Sierra College and is a head RA there. She'll be attending the University of Sac at Cal this Sept. My son Jordan is now 20 & attending OSU-OKC here in Oklahoma city. Savannah is 18 & graduates from HS in May. Natalie is 15 and a sophomore. I've made a decision to move back to N Cal this summer. My son Mark is looking for a place for me. I will probably get my RE License again there. I'm homesick for CA. Ok is not my cup of tea! T...Expand for more
here are alot of changes, but the only thing that keeps me stable is the Lord Jesus Christ. Without Him I can do nothing. Would love to hear from all of you out there! I hope we are planning a REUNION this year! It is a must! A fellow classmate, Luana, said summer is the best because she works for a University. More flexible. Are we planning one, anyone? Let's hear it out there. I will try to be more active on this site so we can communicate. I heard the class of '67 wanted to share that with us. I'd love it. My sister, Betty (Merritt)Guy went with me to my last Reunion & we had a ball, seeing everyone. Hope we can do it again! Write soon, ya'll! Sherry I just wanted to update ya'll!!! I am now in Loomis, Ca! Yeah! I do live by myself now. My 16 year old decided to live with her day & graduate in Yukon, OK. I am sad about that, but.....My son in the army is expecting his baby in early Sept. He got orders about 2 weeks ago and is headed for Afghanistan!! Ugh! Probably in Nov. I know he'll be fine, but he was due to get out of the ARMY in January and only had 5 months left. It is a year term over there. Ugh again! My 23 year old is still an RA at Sierra College but will be a full time student at SAC STATE next week! My 21 year old son in moving out in Jan to go to school at Sierra!! Yeah! I would be happy if all my children lived here in CA. Dylan, the one in the Army, will probably move to Montana when his duty is over. His wife is from Montana. My 18 year old works two jobs & really does not want to go to college. She got so much talent! There---an update for you! Anyone live near me in Sacramento area? E-mail me! That would be great!!
