Sherman's Story

Sherman is from Albuquerque and lives in Mountain View, Ark. He is single. His schools include Valley High School. He earned a BSBA in 1962 at University of Denver, Denver, CO (Hotel & Restaurant Management, Accounting, History/Social Studies). He works self employed with two businesses since 1998, wood turning as a crafter in Mountain View and owner/Operator of Best Tree Service (arborist). I ended my contract with the Folk Center in September 2014 to make better use of my time and effort. One of Sherman's favorite quotes is:"Inspect what you expect". c lathes. A grand total 12,0000 tops have been made and sold and still going strong. Enjoy demonstrating lathe operation and working in a wood work shop. Other activities include serving as a tree arborist is part time by appointment for 805 accounts. Personally, alcohol free since 1998 exercising daily and loving good health. Launched my web site shermanstops dot com in August 2013 for the top business and now writing blogs. Soon the products and prices will be added to the site. Variety on size shape and wood species. This is my trade as a woodturner. I sell them at the Valero Food Mart on Hwy 66 west of Mountain View and at Calico Rock Visitor Center & Musuem.
One of my students of 2018 offered to help get these tops made for our foster kids summer camp. I was humbled by his work and pleased that he stepped up to answer the call. I labeled each top with the RFK logo for the child
