Sherri's Story
From there to here. I met my 1st husband on a trip to Toronto,Ontario,Canada with my friends from high school. Moved there, got engaged and then got married. We had a great life - did some travel, climbed the corporate ladder (went back to school to get an education as an accountant) - ended up a CFO. Divorced, remarried and had a daughter at a late age. Divorced again. While my daughter was young did alot of consulting work in my own business. Went on to become a project manager in a large construction company here. Left there and am not working due to health issues.
I sometimes look back on my high school years and wonder where the time went. I had a great time at Lakeshore. People that I went to high school with would probably would never recognize me after I moved to Toronto. The...Expand for more
first years living here were free and easy and so much fun. Exploring a beautiful city that is becoming more and more like New York. I guess you could call it the New York of Canada. But somewhere along the line I became a responsible member of society. There are times that I don't know how I got from there to here. I have no regrets for most things that I have done in life.
I have found out that some of the people that I knew in high school have passed on which is quite sad. Others that I was close to I wish that I could find and see what they have been up to.
I wasn't chosen as the most likely to succeed which is the irony of all it. It's funny how fate, destiny or the decisions you make take you somewhere in life where you thought you'd never go. All and all life has been good.
