Music Sherri likes includes Majik Water, P!nk, Gwen Stefani. Books Sherri likes include The Bible, Stephen King, Twilight series. One of Sherri's favorite quotes is:"Some Americans need hyphens in their names, because only part of them has come over; but when the whole man has come over, heart and thought and all, the hyphen drops of its own weight out of his name. ~Woodrow Wilson ------------------------------ Don't forget to stop every once in a while and actually thank God for blessing America - he gets a lot of requests, you know. ~Carrie Latet ------------------------------ If America ever passes out as a great nation, we ought to put on our tombstone: America died from a delusion she had Moral Leadership. ~Will Rogers ------------------------------ Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys. ~P.J. O'Rourke ------------------------------ I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much. ~Mother Teresa ------------------------------ If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it. ~Mary Engelbreit ------------------------------ The difference between try and triumph is a little umph. ~Author Unknown". More about Sherri:"I am blessed! I have a wonderful husband, 4 terrific kids (young adults now)... Life is good. Oldest son is turning me into a grandparent... I am TOO young to be a Granny. I am a mom... I am a wife... I believe in loving and protecting my family. I have strong convictions & opinions... not everyone would agree with. I think we as a country need to go back the t...Expand for more
he "older ways" of life... simplicity, loving & honoring neighbors, working together to support each other (not hand outs or "welfare") but honest community working together to keep itself functioning. Buying more american made products, supporting home town business instead of all the corporations from all over the world. I think the right to bear arms does not mean Billy Joe Bob needs an AK-47 to hunt with but we should have the right to purchase & own a firearm without being labeled as a gun-toting nut. I think children NEED REAL DISCIPLINE. Not the sugar coated, kid glove approach of time outs & no-no chairs. I literally can count one ONE HAND the # of spankings I got as a kid. Because I learned respect, I learned consequences and most of all I learned my parents "meant business". Recently I see parents just let their kids get away with anything... no respect... no consequneces for being bad. Destroying retail stores as they come thru like locusts. Kids destroying toys as if they owned them, no consequence, just "put it down" and the parents walking away. For goodness sake, you have to have a license to drive a car but ANYONE can be a parent. Its sad seeing how some people let their kids act. Parents need to be INVOLVED with their kids lives! Education is very important, I think kids need to be immersed in valuable information from the time they are born until they "leave the nest" as adults. I think homeschooling is great but also think that our public schools SHOULD BE LIKE HOME! They should be safe, they should provide appropriate education & should allow for freedom to celebrate our individual religions & beliefs without harm to others but to embrace our differences & learn from them. I think that people should be accountable for their actions, if you harm a child, you deserve to be labeled & to have every single person know who you are AND exactly what you did. --- That's some of what I believe --- (Yes, I am opinionated)".
