Life I was born in Michigan but grew up in Ohio. I moved several times while growing up and found that I liked new opportunities and meeting new people, although it was, initially, quite scary. When I graduated from H.S., I wanted to get out of town (Wooster) even though there was a perfectly good liberal arts college in town. I didn't want to be running into my parents downtown. I chose Wittenberg for the beauty, friendliness and warm feeling I got walking around. I ran track every year I was at Wittenberg and even held a few records until just this past year. I was captain of the ladies track team my senior year. I spent my junior year studying at Durham University in Durham, England. It was hard to settle back down for my senior year after that experience of new places, people, classes, etc. Following graduation in 1985, I took a job at an insurance company in Hartford, CT.
