Sherri's Story
My husband and I got married the summer before my senior year. He was in the Air Force, leaving for Germany. I stayed and finished high school. Left in June to join him. We were there two years. Our daughter was born there. It was a great experience. Upon our return I went to work for an insurance company. Worked in that field until our son was born. I stayed home with our children for a year. I then went into mortgage banking which I stayed in until I retired in l996. I just got tired of the rat race. police officer, which he did. He retired in 2000. When we first came back we lived in Mesquite for a short while, then owned a home in Dallas for almost 10 years, then we moved to Garland where we lived and raised our kids for 18+ years. We then moved back to Dallas for 12 years until we got tired of the congestion. So we moved to Forney, Texas (about 21 miles east of Dls) in a quiet setting on an acre of land. We love it here. Our kids (2) and grand kids (4) live here in Forney too. Well at least for now. Who am I really? I am just a 62 year old woman that is living and loving life, and very grateful to be here.
