can about this rare disease, so I can live a quality of life as best i can. I wear a mask all night & most of the day and I'm on oxegen. I'm grateful for the life I've lived and I'm married to my soulmate Walt, we have four awesome children. I am so grateful for all my old friends, current friends, co-workers and a fantastic family with nine grandkids. Love them!
Tracheobronchomalacia is a rare condition where the tracheal (windpipe) cartilage is soft. Similar to tracheomalacia, tracheobronchomalacia affects the mainstem bronchi, the tubes that carry air to the lungs. When the tracheal cartilage softens, breathing becomes difficult. I have distal severe Tracheobronchimalacia, Dispeana, a node in left lung, COPD, emphysema, Severe GERD, Severe Sleep Apnea (OSA)
Due to having distal Tracheobronchimalacia I am not a candidate for clinical research surgery. I live my life on what is called medical mangement.
Good news we now have a foundation called "CureTBM.org". It has been along time coming and in order to confirm a cure will take years of stats to confirm.".
