Sherril Lloyd's Story
My freshman year was the only year at Basic High. I took an equivalency test and skipped 10th grade. So, I went to Votec and finished Jr. & Senior years there. I was working for my father from 1968 until 1978 when I started driving semi-trucks full time! So, from age 12 until I retired in 2016, I was always working in the trucking industry! Owner operator and partners with my dad and brother (Gary) Kent, while I work for various companies in the Union. My best years were with, So. Nevada Paving & The Nevada Test Site! I made friends with Wally Frank at So. Nevada Paving; he is the last sole survivor, of all my close friends! I have many classmates from here; and treasure all of them more...Expand for more
now than ever before. To be honest I never thought I would live this long. I have always done what I wanted and ate the same way! My body has done me well all my lab work has come back very good for me. Not so much for my siblings. I've been married 3 times. I will tell you walking away from Barbara Sparks in 1970 was the biggest mistake of my life! I lost contact with her but was friends with her father. He was a fun guy to know and very witty! I never ask and he never let me know. Because she was married as was I. Well, a long story made short 43 years later I saw her on Monty Sparks friends list and wrote her! We were Wed in 2014, both of us haven't been happier, in our entire life.
