Sherry's Story

Life In college, I was a forestry major and wanted to work as a forest ranger. I never accomplished that goal, but I do live in a forest at the base of the Cascade Mtns. in Oregon. I am happily married with two grown sons, one who is married and is a paramedic, the youngest works for a credit union and attends the university. I spend my free time kayaking, playing tennis, hiking and reading. One of my nevers in life was that I never wanted to work in an office and do paperwork, well guess what- I work as a real estate Broker and spend way too much time doing the dreaded pap...Expand for more
erwork. After being a Real Estate Principal Broker for years, I went to work for the University of Oregon in the Business Affairs Office in 2008. In 2021 I retired from the U of O. Both sons are now married and I am blessed with 3 granddaughters. In 2020, our home burnt down in one of the big Oregon fires and I have spent my retirement time designing and rebuilding a new home. Currently we are still working on the landscaping of our property and replanting trees. So retirement has been busy, but if and when it slows down, we hope to be enjoy some travel in retirement
