Sherry's Story
Life
Visit me on My Space.. /tifkas.. My family moved from Mesquite to Rice,TX after my freshman year. I began working at a Gibson's store at 17, where I met my wonderful husband Robert. I married young and choose to start a family. I stayed at home and took care of our two daughters. My husband and I made the decision to raise our own children which meant one of us would stay at home. Since he had gone to college and could make a better living he worked outside the home. I was blessed to be able to be with my children as they grew up.
IN 1990 my husband transfered with his company to IN. This was my first time out of TX. I opened a daycare since both our daughters were in school and would be there with me when they were at home. My husband attended a Mennonite seminary and became a Mennonite pastor. We have lived in many states but never back in TX. We now live in IN again and love it.
My oldest daughter, Kristy is married to a nice young man our family knew for several years. She is working full time and going to college. I have one granddaughter who is an absolute joy to be around. Don't get to see her as much as I would like.
My youngest daughter, Angela graduated from college a few years ago. She is single for now, is pre-...Expand for more
engaged/means she isn't ready to be engaged yet.. She just bought her first home pretty close to me.
We have had many foster children, friends and family's children living with us for various reasons. We are foster parents again and have two foster children living with us at this time.. We are also going to adopt a 16 year old who I have known since she was 9 months old..
I make baby quilts, sew, make greeting cards and spend a lot of time on MySpace. My website is tifkas if you want to be friends on there just message me.
Basically I am a Mennonite and yes we are Christian and have all the modern things most people have. Maybe a couple more computers, but that is one of my husband's hobbies. I keep very busy and love my life and family.
Update: We moved back to TX a year ago to help take care of my husband's parents who are mine too now..We worked at TX Baptist Home in Waxahachie while we were there. In group homes. We were there for the summer and decided to move back to IN which is home.. We are now living in an Amish paradise (yes I like Weird Al) A very small town where Robert pastors another Menno church. We bought another house that was large enough to hold lots of children and are wanting to adopt more children..
