Sherry's Story
Life
After living in Miami for 22 years, I finally settled in the Brevard County (Space Coast) area, and am currently living in Cocoa, FL. I've been in the real estate industry since shortly after high school graduation, and have been a real estate appraiser since 1985. After years of working for others, I finally opened my own small company in 1999, and love being my own boss!
At the last class reunion I attended in 1990, I was married to Jim Knox, but sadly he passed away from cancer in 1997. I foolishly remarried 2 years later, but am now divorced.
I keep in touch with only a few classmates, including Nancy Sims Hirsch(who only lives about 50 miles away), and Dawn Kosick Kinney (who lives here in Brevard County).
I'd be interested in hearing from fellow classmates who are also single now, and preferably living in Florida, or nearby.
If I won $100 million, I'd give most of it to charity, then spend the rest on a secluded hideaway, family and travel.
My current age is 56. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be really old and gray. I was so completely wrong!

t the mall. I had 10 Santa's working for me during that 2 month season, and what a bunch of prima donnas!
If I had one do-over, it would be to join the military when I was in my early 20's or late teens. I grew up as a military brat, have been a military wife and loved the life!
My first job was at Suniland Theater, where I got paid 85 cents an hour. Long hours, but we had a ball!
I always wanted to be an actress when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea, and as it turned out, they were right. I can't act my way out of a paper bag. But, I do sing in the church choir (am a good "blender".
The wildest thing I ever did in school was with Cindy Ryan and Leslie Johns. We attended a slumber party in South Miami, went out and papered the neighborhood, and wrapped a VW beetle up like a Christmas package with the toilet paper. Pretty tame compared to other stories - but it was fun.
My biggest surprise at how my life has turned out is that I never expected to spend almost half of my adult life single (divorced twice and widowed). I was raised to be married and have kids, but apparently, that was not in the cards.
