Sherry's Story

Life Hi all, hoping to hear from some of those I knew... back in the day. Being a military brat, its hard to keep in touch but I hope that I can touch base with some. I am now an ex- military wife...go figure! I thought picking the long-haired rebel would keep me out of it. Damn conformity. *smile* Andrew got out of the military and we are now focusing on things that bring us joy. Andrew Wrenn and I married in 1992, had our first, A.J. in 1994 and Chase (our youngest) was born in 1999. Now adults, AJ is an Investment Specialist in Crowsnest Pass, AB. and Chase just graduated with his degree in Engineering Physics - he is working for a consulting company here in Edmonton, For now. Bet you are surprised we whipped up a couple of geniuses, aren't you? ;) I was a stay-at-home Mom until Chase went to school, I worked part-time with Victim Services Unit w the RCMP for many yrs and I was very successful with in-home sales for 14 yrs before the company I originally started with was bou...Expand for more
ght by the Walmart of sex toys and I lost any interest in being a part of that. So, I left my fat ole commission and secondary income to figure out what I wanted to do when I grew up. It wasn't long before I was hit with some significant health issues. Starting with hypothyroid, the second round of bells palsy (which hasn't gone away after 5 yrs), lymphedema, POTS...etc etc. I recently was diagnosed with autism and ADHD. So if you are going "OH!, that makes sense..." You might know a thing or two about neurological disorders...if you are thinking "She doesn't have autism..." You probably don't know a lot about it. *smile* Andrew and I are about to experience an empty Wrenn Nest...we are apprehensive but looking forward to yet another chapter in this book we have been writing for 36 yrs. It will be nice to hear from some childhood acquaintances. I have been remembering so many things since my diagnosis. Not all of it is great but it has been an adventure! Turning 50 was a mind f*ck! lol
