Sherry Dunning:  

After our graduation in 1974, my then boyfriend surprised me with an engagement ring. I was elated, and we set our wedding date for just over a year later. In August of 1975 I became Mrs. Michael Dunning (Valedictorian GN class of 1972) I attended Interior Design classes at C.O.D. and Mike had just graduated from Elmhurst College with his double major of math and science. After our wedding, we both worked full time to save to buy a home, and start a family. It gave us great times together without young ones yet, since we were still so young. Later on after being married for six years, we had two sons who are now grown and gone. Our youngest son is married and has our three beautiful grandchildren. Our oldest is a granddaughter who is 10, then a 7 year old grandson, and a little granddaughter who is 17 months old. They are our sunshine and we love every minute with them. Just wish they lived closer. They live in Green Bay so we see them about six times a year for a couple of days each time. Mike has worked full time his entire adult life climbing the ladder in his field. He enjoys his job very much, and is considered the go to "grandaddy" around the workplace when no one else can solve the problem. No surprise there!
