Sherry's Story
I graduated from Southwest in 1970. After working at AT&T as a long distance operator, I decided to marry my high school sweetheart, John. We married in Jan 1972 and bought our first home in 1973. We had two children, John in 1977 and Kimberly in 1980. I started with the US Postal service as a letter carrier in 1984 and have been there ever since. We have since moved to our home where we still live in Miami.
My husband and I also have a small business that rebuilds racing engines for karts. This has been more of his passion. Life has never been boring for us. Our daughter has graduated FIU with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and is currently attending U of M for paralegal and looking forward to starting her Masters next sem...Expand for more
ister. My son loved cars and music and giving us a run for our money! Unfortunately he died in 2002 in an auto accident. He is still sorely missed.
My plans for the future include retiring in a few more years. I plan to travel more with my daughter or anyone who wants to go. We have been recently certified as open water scuba divers, and plan to use our boat to dive in many more places. I love to paint and would love to be able to spend more time at it. Oh, and I want to learn how to slow down and smell the roses. lol

I have been blessed with a grandson last year. He was born 11-16-09 and his name is Aiden Jonathan. He is the joy of my life! A cute, chunky, red headed, blue eyed boy. Life is so much more fun!
