Life Lived in Israel for a year age 19-20. Lived and studied in France for two years at the Universite de Poitiers; 2nd year as a grad student, with a teaching assistantship. Have held all kinds of jobs having very little to do with my language training: retail clothing sales; design; fundraising; cab driving; most recently call taking for the cab company - which I view as a form of satyagraha in the purest sense. I've not married, and have no children of my own, but have been blessed with intimacy and children in my life. When I am well enough and able, I write poems and make art; I believe that I am here as a witness, a storey teller, and creator of beauty in what are less than beautiful times. Those of you who remember me will know that I am anything but mainstream.
