Sherry's Story
My Life
3 children -are they still called children at age 28?)
2 dogs- Benny & Jet and a Grandogger - Lola
1 husband -If you don't count the first one:)
The above are listed in no particular order other than the countdown:)
My vices: 3 maybe 4 cigarettes a year, 2 sometimes 3 Cosmopolitans a week, and 1 Physician prescribed "calming medication" once a month- when my husband truly needs it.
My job as a Senior Business Development Manager makes me crazy. I first contemplated resigning during the second week, which was 12 years ago, and again, many times after. I must love it, right?
I'm quite the homebody and don't like to fly more than 3 hours or be gone more than 3 days. However, there are occasional exceptions when necessary. My daughter, Kat was 11 days old, when I flew to Chicago w/ her to visit my mother. My husband thought I was absolutely crazy. Then, when she was 6 months old, I drove to Chicago with all 3 children. My husband was certain I was crazy. The 12 hour trip took 15 hours by way of Wisconsin, (I'm a bit geographically impaired). Kat came down w/ chickenpox while there, but I still found my way home 2 weeks later. Never again.
I don't want anything that I can't take care of. I'd much rather clean, caulk or weed than go to a football game. My husband, on the other hand, would rather go to work on a Saturday than clean, caulk or weed. He also thinks that if he pays someone to do his chores, it's the same as if he does them himself.
My husband, (we're...Expand for more
going to call him Michael), and I started playing poker before it became cool. Michael is my constant reminder that it's my turn to deal, I neglected to offer the cut or that I stay in way too long while trying to catch cards. Interestingly enough, he's top dog among his group of players, but when playing together, I take his money more times than not. (Okay, okay! I know his tells) And, for the record, all of you "Texas hold em" players - you're posers if you can't play, Follow the Queen, Sevens, Baseball, etc.
The same goes w/ Country music. I'm a true fan and as such, I quote Barbara Mandrel, "I was country when country wasn't cool".
I hate to go on, but these same posers are usually the ones who don't know the difference between Essex, Dundalk, Middle River and Eastpoint. I know the geographical boundaries so please don't accuse me of being from anywhere other than Essex.
That's me, and I won't apologize for being boring. After all, I was never a geek until my kids said so:) Hopefully, we'll all have the opportunity to connect again and please call on me to help w/ reunion plans. Until then, I'd love to hear how everyone is doing, (no politics necessary), and to see some pics. Since I've gone on and on about Michael, I've added his picture to my profile pic. I'm hoping everyone remembers me well enough to know, this is a Halloween pic! Some day soon, I'll add my sons, Brandon and Brent, as well.
Find me here:) I wish you all good health, wealth, and happiness.
