Sherrye's Story
Well hello again classmates...I hope time has been good to you all. I've lead an interesting and full life having moved from Donelson Tennessee in 1962 to Anchorage Alaska where I graduated from West Anchorage High in 1965. Attended business college, got married to Gary Russell, worked for MONY and had my first child, Michelle, in 1968. In 1972 my family moved to Olympia Washington where daughter number 2, Jennifer, was born in 1974. I worked for a local pediatrician and for an Ophthalmologist before working for the local school district and subsequently working for a state 4-year college. Divorced in 1977 and in 1979, I married Al Morgan, and we had a son, Mark in 1980. In 1986 I returned to college where I graduated in 1989 with my BA and in 1994 with my MPA. Sadly my husband, Al, died in 2001 of cancer and I've remained single since although still living in the same home and working at the same college. Life is good, I've got wonderful grandchildren to keep me young and I still feel like I'm a kid, thank goodness.
I love gardening, growing roses, vegetables and various flowers, biking, walking, camping, cooking for family and friends and traveling to interesting places. Have been to both Hawaii and Mexico in the past year or so and look forward to travelling more someday. Still visit family in Alabama where I have some property.
