Nina's Story
Life
I graduated college 1971 with a teaching degree; worked in Salem for 12 years; married (Larry Nelson, Multnomah County Sheriff's Corrections Deputy and 20 years retired AF Reserve); moved to Milwaukie, OR; have 2 children, Julie (25) UO grad working in Portland, John (21) Army Specialist with Intelligenge Division stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY; worked the last 17 years with an ESD in Special Education (Behavior Disorders); both Larry and I are retired after 30+ years on the job...by Spring 2005 we had had enough 50...Expand for more
hour regular work and 30 hour volunteer (for our kids) work...so when they were done...so were we.
Before we retired we traveled the world, visiting Europe(both), Asia (Larry), all the states West of Mississippi River, followed baseball, basketball, football from the NW to NY to FL to AZ and are planning a trip to Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown in the next year. Other than that we pretty much stay at home enjoying our decks, pool and of course the CAT (he lets us live here as long as we make the house payments).
