Sheryl's Story
Life!
Hi everybody! Well, I got married in August of 1999 and had a beautiful baby boy in September of 2000, so it was a birthday present for me, born just 4 days before my birthday! So, I was super busy and didn't go to the reunion. Oh well, I hope people had fun.
My boy Andrew is now a Webelos Cub Scout and an avid reader. He's also in a Spanish Magnet school and in the GATE program. He loves swimming, computers, online computer games and anything science related. Every time he falls in love with a rock, my father says he's reminded of me. Hey! Rocks are cool!
My second child was born in October 2002 and she is getting used to her glasses and learning to read and ride a bike. Emma is such a girly girl. She wants everything perfect too and gets so mad if she can't do things the first time she tries. She loves arts and crafts and singing and dancing but we tried dance classes and gymnastics with her and she just gets frustrated. She sold more popcorn at Andrew's Scout popcorn sale than he did, which was very entertaining. I wonder if the Scouts would frown on me dressing her up next year in her brother's old Scout uniform... hough. Eventually I'll have to sign her up for that.
My third child was born August 2004. Sarah is so much like her brother it's scary. She's sharp and bright and into everything. She's a top performer in her Pre-K program and will be in Kindergarten Fall of 2009. She loves Art as well and is excited about swim lessons this summer again. She's gone from singing nonstop Christmas carols to Patriotic songs now. If only I could get her to stop belting them out loudly and get her to sing more pretty, she'd be great. It's not all about volume.
I'm an assistant manager at Cosmoprof and we're all crazy so it makes the job fun. I couldn't love a job more than this. I get to be with all professional hairdressers like myself and I've always loved sales and educating people and organizing stuff.
The only Renaissance Faire I work at this point tends to be Folsom Faire. I still tend to work the Sutter Creek Victorian Christmas event though. Kids and work just keep me so busy that the other Renaissance and Victorian events are hard to do. I do miss dancing a lot.
Now... if only I could get my husband to organize his office and the garage and the back yard.... AHEM!
