Shirley's Story
In high school my dream was to become Mrs. James Bracken. The marriage resulted in the birth of two beautiful children, James Joseph Bracken IV and Shannon Eileen Bracken. Sadly the marriage ended in 1985. Both of my children graduated Lynbrook High School. (And by the way, had many of the teachers that I thought should have retired when I was there-LOL). Swissair, 3 years as an Account Exeuctive with Long Island Business News, and after 55 yrs. of living in my childhood home on Devon Street, I moved a year ago to Bloomfield, CT, to be near my grandson Calin (now 2 1/2 yrs. old). I am now enjoying life with my two cats, Dallas & Macy, and ready to start a new job here in CT. In my spare time I do hospice volunteering which I have found to be very satisfying and rewarding. I have learned to live in the "present" and to be grateful and appreciate all that life has to offer.
