Shirley's Story

I think its about time I update profile! I've been retired for about four years now due to multiple layoffs. Now at this age I have found 99% of the companies want someone in their 20's! Guess that leaves me out! I have no idea how I ever got as much accomplished while I was working as I did. I never seem to have a spare minute lately. I'm currently engaged to a man I've been dating for a very long time. He is currently living with me here in Laguna Hills. We bought a cabin in Lake Arrowhead so we spend quite a lot of time up there fixing it up. I've been living in Laguna Hills for the past 40 years. Single for 30 years with two daughters, Kim and Stacy. I can't believe neither one of them think making me a "grandmother" is important. In fact, neither one of them are married. We've already lost too many classmates, and we sure don't want another reunion to go by without seeing you. School I attended Bella Vista Elementary K-6, moving on to Eastmont for my 7th and 8th grade years. I was fortunate to be one of the classmates to transfer to what was then called Schurr Jr. High for my 9th grade year. I continued on to MHS for the next three years graduating in 1966. I then went on to East Los Angeles Jr. College for 2 years and then got married. I was married for 16 years, divorced and still single. I decided to retire after my last lay-off so I guess I can call myself "fully retired" and loving it.
