Shirley's Story
Life
Hello all,
I doubt many of you even remember me. I was not in the "in crowd" I was quiet and kept to myself. I am just an ordinary woman who became a Navy Wife and spent 18 years following my husband around to different duty stations. We have
lived in Connecticut, Florida, South Carolina and Virginia. We were stationed in Scotland for 2 years and traveled around Great Britain and Belgium. My husband
has been around the world several times and has been to every major continent.
I have worked in the business world, real estate, retail, I have been a caterer and owned my own businesses twice. I raised 2 son's and am now raising 3 of my 5 grand daughters. I volunteer at the schools and am active in several
activities for the kids. I am a genealogist and a scrapbooker. I have taken care
of the elderly and my own parents when they were dying. Just normal life experiences...Expand for more
. I have friends in many states and fell in love with the mountains.
We have been re-enactors for the 1740 - 1840 periods and camped all over the
east coast. Now we are pretty much laid back and enjoying our 50's and the
grandkids. I know many of you are living still in St. Augustine and I wish that I
was. I never had a desire to leave but life had different plans for me. Most of
my relatives passed away and now I only have a few cousins left there. My brother
lives in Jacksonville and my sister lives in Orlando. If any of you know Gail King,
Donna Rhone, James Lane, or Craig Tompkins I would love to hear from them and
