e about Shirley:"I grew up in downtown Greenville (I was a city girl) I moved to the piedmont park area when I was 14 years old. I went to Paris High School where I was Cheer Leader for the football team 1951-1952 &1953! I have written 2 songs about Elvis ("A Message From Elvis" which was recorded in Nashville Tenn! The other song which has not been recorded ("A Dream Of Elvis") and my other song ("I've Got This Feeling") was also recorded. My good friend "Jimmy Teasley"wrote and sang the music, I wrote the lyrics. And as you may know already I am better known as "Carolina Blue Eyes"".
