Shirley's Story
I think I wrote this in another area, but anyway I'll try again . I was in the Jr. year of high school when I left to go to Texas. I was really sad to leave but after I got to Texas, where I was born, things went back to normal. My dad was Navy and we traveled alot, but I always thought of Lompoc as my best years of anything. I married and had 4 children, and now have 4 grandchildren. My life is pretty much the same as any other senior citz. except my husband has cancer and that has changed everything. We are looking forward to coming to Lompoc in Sept. There are some classmates I want to see and I want my husband to see the town and where I am always talking about. is so much fun, I've been able to talk to old friends and hear what their lives have been like since high school. To all reading this I hope to see you in Lompoc and maybe have a dance or two, or play some golf, or just hang out.====Shirley oh yes I will say that I started high school in Port Hueneme. I was there in 8th and freshman yr. I had some really neat friends and was sorry to leave but my dad was transfered again from Point Magu to Vandenburg and I had to go . I was in the soph. jr. years in Lompoc and I was really happy. Then I went back to Texas and started my family. Things are never perfect but we go on as tho it is. I hope to hear from some more of my classmates---Shirley
