Shirley's Story
Retired Supervisor, Land Development Contracts, City of Memphis Engineering, 1995. Attended The University of Memphis several years and obtained my BBA from Mt. Vernon Ohio Nazarene University. I've lived in and enjoyed Ohio since 1996 where I retired again in 2010 after working as a staff accountant and legal and insurance administrator for a company owning and managing nursing homes and senior living facilities in various states. chool but I have acquired quite a talent for painting over the last decade and for creating tiny and small creatures and such from simple driveway rocks and by modeling (Yoda, the grinch, etc.). I love to read; enjoy writing; and have edited books for published writers for over a decade. Hopefully, publishing of my own stories might still be in my future. I'm inspired by various musical artists such as John Barry and christian artists like Freddy Hayler. As with most of us, through the years, my life has not always been a smooth ride but it has been rewarding and fulfilling and I have found that joy is a choice and that God is good...all the time!
