Shirley's Story

I did all I could to be friends with everyone & help those I could & never tried to take anyone's guy. All the choral concerts from Heizer to HHS & the many choral trips to sing at local schools & competitions. My first job was at Peach orchard, where I got paid $1.50 hr. to grade peaches. What I remember most about it is how sick we got when 1st began with those rotten ones we had to pitch in cull bin.. 10th birthday party at home & George Foster; Mike Forbes & Paul Mueller came on a snowy day & we had a snowball fight. I always wanted to be a singer& rodeo star when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I play my piano one handed now, & do crafts, & paint, & puzzles If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have more mobility, training, and transportation to be able to deal with the day-to-day. God is my lifeline. My Grandmother Winnie Keith my idol because she taught me most of my Indian heritage. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is James 'Doc" Reynolds Vickie Hester, because they were my closest friends. my horse was my closest friend above humans I watch Disney & home make-over I like history & documentories. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel living room and add on a study with a lanai porch. My dream...Expand for more
home would be very lg. ranch style. patience; patience; & nurseing& where all the fun places are. If I won $100 million, I'd give $10,000.00 it my church & Monument, NM church of it to MIllion to each son & grandc, then spend the rest on homes for kids & mom & I, pay off all debts for several family members. and save rest. Dorm life at Oklahoma City Southwestern University. Choir & toured east coast singing in churches & staying with members. Journalism staff, secretary for Dean of Academics. My current age is 58. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be rich. I was so completely wrong. My best friend would tell you I'm loyal, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as shy. Yes, clothes I buy didn't go out of style. Jeans never will neither will cotton. They still fit too. I share my home with MOM, which I find trying. Was queen of the South Plains Pentecostal Youth Camp 1969, Baseball award 1963 6th grade, have 1st, 2nd ribbons from fairs in NM, Az. OK, TX, NC, awards from TTU NRHC & LIFE/RUN CENTER Awards for show rabbits, & rodeo. In 10 years, I hope to be near my kids. I'm going to get there by them moving us.. Met Vickie Hester 1st grade, Will Rogers El. school1956. Both shy & tall, we both lived in country &we bought gas from her parents station.
