Shirley's Story
I graduated from U of M in 1964 with BSc Pharmacy.That year I also married Vincent Surbey. We had three children : Stephen in 1966 and twins -Joanne and Darlene in 1967 .This kept me busy but I worked part-time and full-time through their school years.We divorced in 1985 and I've been independent since .
Joanne married in 1989 and has 3 children -Hayley (13) Thomas (11) and Jillian (7 1/2) . Stephen married at Christmas in 1996 and has 3 children : Tess (10 1/2) Calvin (7 3/4) and Noah (6) . Darlene married in 1999 and has one daughter Sarah (7 3/4) Joanne and Family are in Port Moody,BC , Stephen and family are still in Winnipeg and Darlene and family are in Brampton ON

back .I am recovering from one knee replacement and trying to decide if I want the other knee replaced . Retirement has been busy ,with never enough time to do all I wish to do.The summer of 2000 was especially busy with Darlene having Sarah 4 weeks early by C-Section ( in June ) because of HELP syndrome ,Calvin being born exactly one week later ,and then Joanne having Jillian the 31st of August. I spent that winter and spring sewing and knitting ,spent 7 weeks with Darlene ,was home 2 weeks to get to know Calvin and then spent 7 weeks with Joanne. I visit East and West once or twice a year so I'm not forgotten .
Vince had a massive stroke 1 year ago and is now in Deer Lodge Centre with almost no movement and no speech ,
