Shirley's Story

I've had a career in banking, and will soon be retiring from teaching (24 years ROC and Bakersfield Adult School). I teach beginning English-as-a second-language. Thank goodness I paid attention in Mr. Gabbitas' Spanish Class ! My house is up for sale and my husband Ruben and I will be moving to Sweet Home, Oregon. (My brother Randy lives in Albany, Oregon). ce at BAS ! Ruben and I have 9 grandchildren, thanks to his three children. We enjoy camping, casinos, partying with friends & family, photography, genealogy, and computers. We will soon celebrate our 17th anniversary in Vegas. My life since high school has been a series of (mostly wonderful) adventures. I'm sure this will continue in Oregon as I will hopefully be teaching ESL part time and gold panning !
