Shirley's Story
Hello Class of 1984, How is everyone out there doing? It seems like forever doesn't it? Well when I left there, and moved back to New Iberia, La. I attended NISH High School, but at 14 yrs.old I had to drop out in my sophmore year to go t work, because of non-support from my dad. My Mom as you all remember her as Ms. Gerry was already having health problems, and I could't stand to see her worry, and struggle. But we made, and I just kept working and my education would come later. But life got away from me, and 20 something years late I have 3 son's. Bud-24 in December, & Sam-18 in October, and Nic-13 next June. No Grandch...Expand for more
ildren yet, but no rush.
My Mom passed away in 1986, and that was the worst time of m life, and then my sister Becky, then my brother Calvin (Jr.) as everyone called him. They are all gone now. Then I found out someone my Mom and I loved dearly passed away, Mable St.Clair. But her daughter Melia owns, and lives in our old home there in Pyatt, and that makes me happy. I know Melia is okay, and she is home. She grew up in that house, and that was Mable and My Mom's only wish before they left us, and it's been fulfilled. I have to go for now, but I can't fit all these years in a small space, but all you got to do is ask!
