Shirley's Story
Are we really 20 years and a month past graduation...and a month and a half from seeing everyone from THAT day at our reunion?!?
I feel "old" when I think of that number...but realize how blessed we are in our youth and how amazing everyone looks today! (not to mention how beautiful everyone's kids are!!)
I have two wonderful children that are the sparkle and gleam in my eyes (where just trouble used to brew). I had a "big girl" job at Intel Corporation for 10 plus years but got laid off in 2007 and decided to get a little girl job...so I'm n...Expand for more
ow bartending and managing a restaurant in Portland, OR (yes, it took me 17 years to do what most of you did 21 plus years ago!!!). I actually love it and can't imagine going back to a big girl job. I guess being surrounded by 21 year olds helps me stay youthful (or just makes me feel ancient).
Funny anecdote...I am the proud owner of a 1970 Chevy K5 Blazer (named "Jack")...I was giving a ride to a co-worker of mine and she said "someone told me that this car is an antique" My answer...yes, Jack and I were both born in 1970...yup...old. ;oP
