Shirley's Story
I enjoy making jewelry. I am experimenting with different styles of earring wires, coming up with some new ones that don't slip out of your ears. One thing I like about working with gold or silver wire is that it's easy to work with while watching tv. I make all kind of jewelry, however, as I am a have had silversmith training in college.
My friend and I are swing dancers. I have belonged to the San Diego Swing Dance Club for 24 years now and really love it. It's really good excercise. I have always loved to dance and joined the club the first time I went to a dance.

y in Lubbock. At least, not that I'm aware of.
I remember when I was in school in Lubbock, I was pretty quiet and shy. I guess I didn't get over that until I became a Realtor. Then I had to learn to greet people and be more outward going. So then I got to where sometimes I talked a lot!! I guess I was making up for lost time.
I lived in Albuquerque for 4 years. There were things about it that I just loved. It's really beautiful there. I lived up on the side of the Sandia Mountains, just above Tramway. The church I went to was the best I have ever found. It made it really hard for me to leave there. It was Hoffmantown Church, which is Baptist. The weather didn't agree with me there anymore than the weather in Lubbock does, so I finally had to leave and move back to California. I now live in Oceanside.
I really did miss the Ocean and walking on the beach. Once you have lived near it, you really miss it when you move away. I have been within a few blocks of it for most of my life!!
