Shurree's Story
Wow, how time has flown by. I now live in Texas with my husband David who was my High School sweetheart. We have been married for 28 years now. We have 3 sons, a daughther in-law, 2 granddaughters and another grandchild on the way.
Our oldest son Nathon has never married. Our middle son Aaron married and has a 3 1/2 year old daughter who lives in Holland with her mother. Our youngest son Jacob and his wife Alisha have a 19 month old daughter and are expecting another child in February.
I have worked in doctors offices, dispatched linemen for an electric company, dealt Black-jack, and a few other jobs here and there. But, my favorite job of all is taking care of my granddaughter Alexus while her parents work. She is truly a joy. (Well most of the time anyways!) She is totally rotten and completely loves her pa pa. Go figure? It couldn't be that he gives her everything! Family is very important to me and I am glad that mine is close to me.

s California in a lot of ways. We wanted to stay there but my parents moved to Texas my senior year of high school, believe me it was complete culture shock! I was already dating David so he moved to Texas also. I finished high school in Sulphur Springs, Texas. We married a month later and 14 months later had our first son. We thought about moving back, but never did until our sons were grown and 2 of them were married. At that point we all (our sons and their families) moved to Victorville, California. We were there for a year but didn't like the desert, so we moved to Oklahoma to help my husband's dad. I enjoyed living in Norman. It's a nice size city and has a lot to offer. David missed Texas so we moved back. We live near a big fishing lake but, don't own a boat. So right now we are a little boring.
Our goals in the future include traveling and seeing more places. We enjoy seeing new things. We are planning to go to the reunion next July and hope to see people we haven't seen in a while.
