Sloan's Story
School...
Well, I kinda skipped out on college. I went straight from SLHS to the east coast (well, North Carolina -- Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area) to pursue a career in art. Was a professional artist straight out of high school, working full-time in NC for the better part of 4 years, and finally moving to Los Angeles on a great job offer (Activision games!).
I worked at Activision for about three more years before things with a band I helped start (Sing...Expand for more
le File) began to take off. Touring the US became a necessity, and alas, I had to move on from Activision in pursuit of a greater happiness: a career in music. Ultimately, we ended up moving the band back to Colorado to save money, and things really started to take off for us here. About 400 shows over 8 US tours later, we were signed to Warner Bros. / Reprise records! It's been a trip, and we're just getting started... :)
